DM urge students to understand their duties towards country during ‘Voters Awareness program’ at DPS Greater Noida

DPS Greater Noida hosted ‘Voters Awareness program’ on 25 January, 2020, initiated by the office of the DIOS, District Gautam Budh Nagar. The event was graced by a galaxy of eminent guests including Shri. B.N. Singh, District Magistrate, G B Nagar, Shri. M. N. Upadhyay , Additional District Magistrate, G B Nagar, Shri. Neeraj Kumar Pandey, DIOS, G.B Nagar, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Ms. Renu Chaturvedi, the Chief Guest Shri B. N Singh District Magistrate, who was also the Chief Voting Officer, urged the students to grow up understanding their duties and responsibilities towards their country and said that the best way of doing it is by spreading awareness in the society about casting votes intelligently. Ms. Renu Chaturvedi emphasised on the need of awareness to be spread, for which students would be most active ambassadors.

The host school organized a special assembly in which students and teachers powerfully put across the message through speech, song and a Power point presentation. The students of the host school went on a rally around the neighbouring areas, spreading the message across the local citizens.

As part of the event, an Inter school Poster making, Slogan writing and Rangoli making competitions were organised in the schools involving leading schools in Greater Noida, depicting the significance of exercising one’s power to vote. The programme witnessed an enthusiastic presence and participation by various schools.
