Releasing a 16-page booklet on the Aam Aadmi Party’s “100 Din Paar Dilli Mein Jhooti Sarkar” at the DPCC Office,  Rajiv  Bhawan here today, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Ajay Maken said the AAP Government could not fulfil  even a single promise made to the people in its 100 days of misgovernance in Delhi, and had failed on all fronts. He said the AAP leaders were busy fighting among themselves, fighting for their rights, perks and privileges, but not for serving the interest of the people, to whom the AAP had made tall promises during the Assembly elections, but bracktracked on all the promises after coming to power. He said 21 Parliamentary secretaries were appointed to oblige the MLAs, and those MLAs who were left out have been appointed as chairmen of hospitals of the Delhi Government, and given plush offices whereas many hospitals have no space even to accommodate patients, who are crammed on available beds and on the floors.

Shri Maken said the DPCC booklet, extensively researched and compiled by the Shadow Departments of the DPCC, contains a detailed account of the misgovernance by the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Delhi in its 100 days in office, which was full of scandals and controversies, and very little of constructive administration. He said as a result, the development works in Delhi has suffered, and the promises made to the people have all been forgotten. He said the people were burdened by power and water crises, soaring prices of essential commodities, the rising graph of crimes, particularly against women, and a dissatisfied work force resorting  to dharnas and demostrations to highlight their plights, and get their demands addressed. He said the MCD sanitation staff, DTC contract workers, guest teachers and doctors of North Delhi Municipal Corporation hospitals went on dharnas and demonstrations to highlight their problems.

The booklet has been divided into six sections, under the headings of “Principles”, “Failure of Governance”, “Development Standstill”, “Price Rise”, “Insecure Delhi” and “Poor, marginalized section let down”.

Shri Maken said the Aam Aam Party, which came to power in Delhi with a majority of 67 seats out of 70, repeatedly misled and lied to the people to betray Delhiites, as the AAP Government developed a VIP culture to metamorphosis from “Aam Aadmi to Khaas Aadmi”, sacrificed the Lok Pal and internal democracy, fostered corruption, adopted a policy of “use  and throw people/media—as per convenience”, fostered cronism as there was “no room if you are not anAAP volunteer”, governance of controversies, blame game and politics of conflict, strikes and dharnas, environmental degradation, backtracking on promises made on education, uncontrolled price rise and and the rising graph of crime, particularly against women.

Shri Maken said there was no governance worth the name in 100 days of the AAP Government in Delhi as its leaders only indulged in gimmicks and controversies to divert the attention of the people from pressing issues. He said the AAP Government holding a public meeting at the Central Park in Connaught Place was a mere show off to fool the people, as when it came to holding the AAP party’s National Council meeting, it was held in secrecy, not even allowing phones inside the meeting hall, in which founding members of the AAP like Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav and Anant Kumar were expelled from the party. Shri Maken said Shri Arvind Kejriwal and his council of  Ministers were busy building their own nests in the last 100 days, and threw out all their principles stands to create a VIP culture, and avail all the best facilities for themselves.
