DPS INDIRAPURAM HOLDS THE ALUMNI MEET
DPS Indirapuram organized its first Alumni Meet on Wednesday, 30th December, 2015 for all its ex-students, to revive, rekindle and relive the memories of school days. The ex-students entered their alma mater where they were welcomed with the ‘Tilak’ and showering of fragrant flower petals.
The Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai extended a very warm welcome to the alumni calling them very fondly her ‘very own children’. She spoke at length about the purpose of the ‘Meet’ and how each one of them was the brand ambassador passing through the sacred portals of the school, spreading their light like the everlasting ‘diamonds’ and urged them to contribute towards the social responsibility they owe towards the society.
Mr. Abhishek Bansal, Member Managing Committee DPS Indirapuram addressed the gathering exhorting them to create a strong bonding with the school and nurture a lasting relationship.
The signature performance of the evening has the ‘Rocking’ school band enthralling the audience with foot tapping numbers. The school choir presented a melodious song ‘Shine Your Way’. ‘Memories’, a short film capturing the childhood days of school life-from ‘yellow line toddlers’ to blooming young individuals evolving through the years, followed thereafter. A scintillating and vibrant dance performance by the School Council members charmed and cheered the spectators.
The evening resulted in a reliving the reminiscent times, with new networks built, rich experiences shared and appreciation conveyed for an event which saw an overwhelming response.
The event culminated with the vote of thanks delivered by the Vice-Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Hajela.
