DPS SCHOOL GBN STUDENTS ENTHRALLED AUDIENCE AT REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION
The programme as usual started with the National Anthem of India sung by students. To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held inside the school premises. The school echoed with patriotic fervor as the children drew scenes of Republic Day celebrations, sang patriotic songs, and even wore tri-coloured clothes to mark the occasion.
This was followed by a cultural programme which began with a series of patriotic songs. Students performed on the cultural heritage of India. The presentation was a medley of dance compositions based on songs which filled the environment with patriotism.
A special programme held where students showcased their talent by capturing the minds of audiences by presenting the cultures of different states. It started with the displaying of Kashmiri culture where little students performed on the famous number Bumbroo Bumbroo song where audiences clapped to the tune.
The students also showed their talent by performing the culture of other states as well. At last, the students performed on the Maharashtra culture by presenting the different personalities of the state like the famous Amitabh Bachhan and performed his dance on Shawa-Shawa song.
On this special occasion, a great tribute was given to former president of India, late A. P. J. Abdul Kalam by showing the Missiles like Agni and Prithvi. The former president was responsible for the development and operationalization of AGNI and PRITHVI missiles and for building indigenous capability in critical technologies through networking of multiple institutions.
The programme, a grand success, came to an end with the Vote of Thanks rendered by the DPS School Gautam Budh Nagar Principal, Mrs. Indira Kohli who thanked the higher authorities, parents, teachers and students for making the programme a grand event. The program was graced amongst others by Mrs Rewa Nayyar, Shailendra Chaudhary, Aditya Ghildyal.
