DPS Sexual Assault Case : Parents protest against delay in action, teachers meet DM

Yesterday regarding DPS rape incident case parents once again gathered at DM office to register their disappointment over the delay taking place in taking action against principal and teachers whm involvement came in light during investigation. There after the parents moved to SSP office to know the status of charge sheet in the case.

However the police all ready had added the name of principal and teacher in the charge sheet under POCSO act. But for further action cops were waiting for the copy of the investigation report that was conducted by district administration. Police also had sent a reminder to district administration to make them available the copy of report. After getting this copy police will also take legal advice in the case before proceeding further. Report will be sent to the senior prosecution officers.

While the parents are questioning over this delay, why police require investigation report of district administration. They all ready had proper evidence that proves school negligence in safety measures and principal trying to suppress the case. Parents said that “we will continue the protest till we don’t get the justice and will keep gathering at DC office on every Saturday to monitor the proceedings.

Beside this a delegation of 47 teachers also met District Magistrate and asked for his intervention as a series of protest are being carried out by the parents. This is hampering the school environment and causing loss to students study as well as they are facing a law and order challenge also.
