Dr. H. Chaturvedi Concludes Remarkable 25-Year Journey with BIMTECH; Dr. Prabina Rajib Steps into Director’s Role

Greater Noida, 4th Jan: In a significant milestone, Dr. H. Chaturvedi, who served as the Director of Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) in Greater Noida for an impressive 25 years, officially handed over the leadership to Dr. Prabina Rajib. The announcement came through a heartfelt social media post by Dr. Chaturvedi.
Expressing his delight and gratitude, Dr. Chaturvedi shared that he has assumed a new role as the Chief Educational Officer (CEA) at the Birla Academy of Arts & Culture (BAAC) in Kolkata. The BAAC is the parent body of both BIMTECH and Birla Global University in Bhubaneswar. In his new position, Dr. Chaturvedi will play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring both institutions to achieve higher goals.
Dr. Prabina Rajib, the new Director of BIMTECH, is an accomplished professor of finance with over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. Her distinguished career includes being the author of two prominent books, “Commodity Derivatives and Risk Management” (2014) and “Stock Exchanges Investment and Derivative.” Her commitment to academic performance is demonstrated by her promotions in 2007 and 2011 at IIT Kharagpur. Dr. Chaturvedi expressed confidence in her capabilities to lead the institution towards continued success.
Reflecting on his tenure at BIMTECH, Dr. Chaturvedi highlighted the remarkable journey of the institute from its early days in a basement at Pushp Vihar, Delhi, to its present state-of-the-art campus in Greater Noida, spanning 10 acres. He joined BIMTECH in 1999, succeeding the late Dr. C. B. Gupta, the renowned ex-Principal of SRCC, Delhi University.
Under Dr. Chaturvedi’s leadership, BIMTECH evolved from a low-profile Delhi-based B-school to a Category 1 and AACSB-accredited institution. The institute became known not only within India but also internationally, establishing a reputation as a reputed Indian school.
In 2013, BIMTECH expanded its footprint by inaugurating a campus in Bhubaneswar, which later transformed into Birla Global University (BGU), a state-private university. Dr. Chaturvedi expressed his gratitude to mentors, friends, deans, directors of leading B-schools, and the 8000+ strong alumni community for their instrumental role in the success of BIMTECH.
Assuming his new role with the BK Birla Group, Dr. Chaturvedi is set to continue contributing to the growth and development of BIMTECH and BGU. He will also retain his position on their Board of Governors, ensuring a seamless transition and ongoing support for the institutions he has been dedicated to for a quarter of a century.
