Dronacharya Students bring laurel to Dr.A.P.J Technical University : Wins First Prize at NSIT Innovision

NETAJI SUBHASH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (NSIT) DWARKA, NEW DELHI organizedInnovision, a  National Level Project competition on 10th March 2016. Aakashdeep Chaudhary, Ankur, Deepak and Dron Sharma, B.Tech VI Semester students of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated with their project “Smart Parking System”.

Innovision is the annual inter-college, techno-managerial fest of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. NSIT conducts Innovision as a two day extravaganza of a line-up of approximately 50 events with a footfall of around 4000 people.

There were 200 entries for projects out of which, 14 innovative projects from all over India were shortlisted for final presentation, which included :

  1. Utilization of waste heat.
    2. Voice to Multi-Lingual Text/voice.
    3. Atmospheric Water Collector( AWC ).
    4. HANDTALK : Interpreter for the Differently Abled.
    5. Bicycle Computer.
    6. WALKING STICK FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED.
    7. Card fraud Detection Using Genetic Algorithm.
    8. Self Defence Gun.
    9. REVIVR
    10. X SCR BOX.
    11. Solar Back Pack.
    12.Solar Shirt.
    13. Smart Parking System.
    14. Solar Power Automated Robotic Cleaning Machine.

Smart Parking System is a project based on the parking problem which is increasing day by day. It also addresses car theft problem. In this project, problem of parking is eliminated by making a multi parking structure. Number of cars can be parked within the limited space. It will be a boon to our vision of the smart cities.

This project from Dronacharya Group of Institutions Greater Noida was adjudged the best and was awarded first prize of Rs.21000/-along with Certificate of Appreciation.

Second prize was awarded to Solar Bag Pack from NSIT and third prize was awarded to Self Defence Gun from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon.

Innovision was a reflection of new ideas and latest technologies.  The ideas portrayed during the competition could prove to be very useful in solving day to day life problems faced by the society.

The project exhibition not only improved the creative ability of the students but it also developed the presentation skills and confidence level of the students.
