New Delhi, 29 May 2022: The committee formed by the DU to investigate the decreased enrolment of the SC/ST students has told the university that a significant number of seats were left vacant during admissions and these students also drop out as soon as the classes start.

They also highlighted that remedial classes should be conducted to control the situation and also indicated that members from the quota should be included in the admission committee.

Delhi Universities officials clarified that there is disparity in enrolment on two levels. There is a shortfall in enrolment in the admission season itself. Simultaneously, there should be SC/ST members in the admission committee.
