EV India 2022: India’s EV ecosystem progressing better than other countries, says Gen VK Singh

Greater Noida, Sept 7th,2022: India’s biggest exhibition on electric vehicles, EV India Expo 2022 was inaugurated on Wednesday by the Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Civil Aviation, Gen Vijay Kumar Singh at India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.

EV India 2022 Expo is an International Electric Motor Vehicle Show that provides the opportunity and platform for electric vehicle manufacturers to showcase their latest products, technology, and equipment, smart and NextGen transport, electric passengers cars, scooters, motorcycles, cycles, buses, etc in the trade industry.

Other dignitaries present on the occassion included Dhirendra Singh, MLA, Jewar; Ranvir Singh, Niti Aayog team; and Abhijeet Sinha, Director, Ease of Doing Business among others.

General VK Singh in his address spoke about the constant development and progress that is taking place in the nation in the EV segment. “I feel proud to say that we have successfully tested alternative sources of fuel and petrol such as green hydrogen and bioethanol which will soon be available to the people at affordable prices”, he said.

He further mentioned that India is progressing better than any other country in the world in terms of electric vehicles.

Singh also notes that due to the usage of battery-operated vehicles, there would be less release of harmful gases into the environment and fossil fuels would be discarded.

“An ecosystem would have to be created wherein electric vehicles and other products are easily available to the public in order to better our surroundings for us and the future generation”, he added.

Dhirendra Singh began his address by outlining the harmful effects of pollution which is caused by vehicles.

“Carbon emission is the biggest crisis of today”, he said.

He said that the amount of toxic gases in the environment has increased to such a great extent, that now it is imperative that people switch to other less-harmful resources.

“Electric vehicles are the future of tomorrow, making the world a better place for all of us”, the MLA said.

Singh said that the use of electric vehicles should be considered in view of future needs in terms of economy, transport, pollution, etc.

He also remarked that electric vehicles will fulfill PM Modi’s dream of making India self-reliant and one of the most developed countries in the world.

Director of Ease of Doing Business, Abhijeet Sinha in his address highlighted the importance of electric vehicles in the world of transport.

Sinha lauded the efforts of the Indian government in providing facilities for people. “The government has contributed greatly in terms of policy-based, trade-based, and transport-based industry. There are also efforts to roll out alternative sources of fuel and petrol which would be highly beneficial to all of us”, he said.

He also thanked organizers and exhibitors of the expo for their endeavors in the world of transport by launching such an influential event.

During the event, awards were also given to several manufacturers and exhibitors for their innovations and efforts.

All guests also went through different stalls of the expo and interacted with the exhibitors.

EV India Expo 2022, taking place from 7th to 9th Sept, features more than 200 exhibitors from all over the country, providing enormous opportunities for the automobile industry.
