New Delhi (16/11/2019): On one hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi renewed his demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Rafale deal, and on the other hand, Union Minister and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad today commented that everyone has the right to demand.

Today at the BJP headquarters, Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Income Tax (I-T) Tribunal order was a ”judicial affirmation” that the Gandhi family and commerce went hand-in-hand.

He was referring to the findings of the I-T that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) gave loans to Young Indian, which in turn, was doing business through the Associated Journal Limited (AJL).

Prasad also alleged that the Gandhi family got a controlling share in AJI via unfair means. He also noted that the Delhi High Court had refused to stay the I-T directive to pay Rs.100 crore tax.
