Expressing delight over allocation of 651 crore maintenance-repair budget by Noida authority, residents offer suggestions to avoid past mistakes!

Noida Authority yesterday declared spending a sum of 651 crore to deal with various grave issues of Noida such as roads, sewage, street lights, community centres and village development.

While the announcement was very well received by most Noida residents, a lot many of them also had to offer suggestions and feedbacks in order to ensure that this excellent initiative also produces equally great results.

Brig Ashok Hak (retd ),Convener of CONRWA NOIDA CHAPTER says, “Survey must be done to take feedback complaints of residents and the allocated tenders should be put in public domain with full work details & completion date. As in past many excellent projects have caused great inconvenience due to inordinate delay hence accountability must be assured for on time and with-in budget completion of every job beign taken under this scheme”.

Anita Singh who runs a Stationary shop in Noida’s renowned sector 18 market and had to face great inconvenience during this year’s rain when water was entering into shop due to defunct sewage system says,“RWA’s must be informed about the work sanctioned in their particular sector and they must get some authority to evaluate quality of work. As it is the actual residents who face maximum discomfort due to a badly constructed road or drain or poor quality work in any domain. Also tenders cleared by Noida authority shall be displayed outside community centres”,

She further added that, “Noida Authority should maintained notice board in each sector. On display board contractor’s details should be displayed, no of Safai Karamchari /Labours working in the particular area should also be mentioned”.

Another active social volunteer of Noida issues Amit expressed disappointment over provision of traffic issues in the budget.
