Farmers disrupt train traffic at several railway stations

Greater Noida:  Leaders of the anti-farm law protest on Thursday disrupted the movement of the train at Dankaur station for 40 minutes demanding repeal of three central agricultural laws. Farmers sat on the railway track and distributed fruits and drinkables while train remained standing at the station. Bihar Sampark Kranti Express going to Bihar was stopped by the protesters at Dankaur railway station at 2.30 pm and allowed to left for its destination after 40 minutes.

 

As per the station master train no 2566 was stopped at Dankaur railway station for 40 minutes due to lack of clear section track. At the same time, the GRP and RPF were patrolling to stop the agitators and tried clear the tracks. Police said that they will not allow protestors to stop trains at any cost, however, the protesters managed to stop the train at Dankaur station.

 

Two PAC platoons are stationed at the station to stop the protesters and 54 GRP personnel have been deployed on different platforms. District police is also keeping an eye on the situation and if the agitators got fierce then additional force will be called from nearby police stations. Jawans are deployed with tear gas and apart from that LIU Personnel’s were present there in plain clothes for monitoring the protesters and providing instant updates.
