Farmers from 81 villages stage protest at Noida Authority with cattles & tractor trollies

Noida : Farmers from 81 villages took out a protest march against the Noida Authority on Friday. Hundreds of farmers protested against the anti-farmer policies of the authority. They are determined to go on an indefinite strike.
Farmers are also agitated due to Noida authority’s move to demolish their constructions after declaring them illegal. Several farmer organisations of Noida and Greater Noida have come out in support of the protest march.
Since morning farmers started gathering in a tent placed near the Noida Authority’s office. Another gathering of around thousand farmers marched for the venue as they were stopped at Mahamaya Fly over. The gathering reached the venue at around 1.30 am.
They were having their cattles, water tanks, tractor trolley as part of their demonstration. Farmers said that if authority takes their home then they will start residing just in front of authority.
Senior police officials reached the spot and increased the security of nearby areas. All the gates and road that has access to Noida Authority got sealed and barricaded. Water cannon were also deployed considering the large number of farmers.
SSP Vaibhav Singh said “The farmers have taken out their protest march on several tractors which has caused a traffic jam. We have deployed our forces at the site of the demonstration”.
