Fast X Becomes this Year’s First Hollywood Movie to reach ₹100 cr in India

New Delhi (India), 31st May 2023: Fast X, starring Hollywood star Vin Diesel, has earned over Rs 100 crores at the Indian box office in just ten days.

Fast X, which had the best Hollywood opening of the year in India, is now the first Hollywood film of the year to gross more than Rs 100 crore.

Fast X, the tenth instalment in the long-running Fast & Furious franchise, reached the century mark, bringing the total collection to roughly 105 crores after ten days. The data was released by the industry tracker Sacnilk.

Fast X, directed by Louis Leterrier, had its Hindi version do better than the English version, with the former grossing over Rs 54 crores while the English version gathered around 52 crores through the second Sunday.

According to the industry tracker, the film’s Tamil and Telugu versions have grossed more than 6 crores.

Fast X could be the best-performing film in India since Furious 7, which grossed Rs 108 crore in 2015. Fast X surpassed $500 million at the global box office on Sunday, collecting $108 million in North America and over $399 million internationally.

The Fast and Furious franchise began almost two decades ago, with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker playing two men on opposing sides of the law. The latest instalment also boasts a slew of celebrities, including Brie Larson, John Cena, and Jason Statham.
