The stakes are usually high when any new film is set to be released, and it is all the more when the star cast of a film boasts of names like Shahrukh Khan (King of Romance). No exceptions, the makers of the new film “Dear Zindagi” starring SRK and Alia Bhatt too would be getting butterflies in their stomach as the film is set for a release on Friday the 25th November’16. To promote their upcoming film “Dear Zindagi”, the lead actors of the movie Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt visited Gurgaon for an interaction with the Media. “Dear Zindagi” presented by Red Chillies Entertainment has been directed by Gauri Shinde of Sridevi starrer ‘English Vinglish’ fame.

The starcast along with director Gauri Shinde launched the new song of the film ‘Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le’ at the Press Conference organized in Leela, Gurgaon. Going by the promos and the trailers, the film is expected to strike the right chord with the audiences, and fare well at the box office. The film possesses all the quintessential components namely a good script, heartbreak element and how it has been dealt with, melodious songs, and of course, the manner in which SRK mentors Alia on how to deal with ‘heartbreaks’ and other aspects of life. The amalgamation of these factors raises the bar for ‘Dear Zindagi’, and thus, make it a ‘must watch’ movie.

SRK playing a psychologist in the movie candidly asserted that the female character had played a more pivotal role in the movie on a comparative note. According to him, ‘Alia Bhatt’ as the lead actress and ‘Gauri Shinde’ as the Director deserved the real appreciation and praise for making “Dear Zindagi” what it is. Having no qualms, SRK remarked, “My role is more of an extended cameo in the film. Sardonically, it’s a man’s world that we live in, and we need to really change the age old perception. Sans any preaching, whatever and however a woman does, can never be wrong. Woman never want someone to resolve their problems, but on the contrary, seek someone to listen to their words without being judgmental. ‘Women empowerment’ holds the key to overall progress and prosperity. The content of the film is very strong, and I have no qualms saying that the film is ‘Kaira-centric’ meaning revolving around Alia Bhatt’s character in the movie.”

Gauri Shinde on the other hand, needs no introduction as her first film with Sridevi did really well. When quizzed if people would go to watch the film just because of the star-factor, she said, “The content of the film and SRK are no different, rather they go synonymous, and are all integrated. Implying simply that what really matters is the love and adulation that the film gets at the end of the day, and nothing else. Even if people would go to watch the film because of the starcast, that too, would be an indicator that they did so because the crowds really appreciated and loved the movie. I sincerely feel that stardom doesn’t overshadow the content.

In her interaction with the press, Alia Bhatt shared, “After watching the film, you’d wish to have someone like ‘JUG’ (Jahangir Khan-SRK’s name in the movie) in your life. I have learnt numerous things from my father, and one advice from him being that I should stop bothering about delivering an “out of box” performance since I am still to experience what it is being “in a box”. I am really excited about my role in the film. Working with SRK was fun and great learning.”
