People for Animal(PFA) member Kaveri Bhardwaj has filed a complaint at Sector-49 police station against 4 named Association of Apartment Members of Supertech Capetown Society, society’s security guard as well as the builder for allegedly beating a female dog to death.

On March 29 a young boy was bitten by a stray dog in this society. After which a group from society is said to have zeroed on the one year old female dog and venting out their anger on it.

The complainant in her report filed at sector 49 police station has claimed that the recently sterilised dog was brutally beaten by the guards on the direction of some AOA members. The dog was also later taken to the dispensary and succumbed to injuries on Friday.

Police officials informed that a case under section 429 of the IPC has been registered and CCTV footages of the society are being looked into for inquiry.

Animal Menace Also Not Uncommon:

While the FIR here has been filed in section pertaining to cruelty against animals, the incidents of animal-human conflict is not new in Noida and Greater Noida sectors. Every month some people including children, ladies and elderly become victim of dog bites or monkey attack in some or the other society or sector. Noida’s Cape Town society and Greater Noida’s Beta-1 sector remain highly prone to such incident.
