New Delhi (India), April 12, 2023: The Bathinda military station in Punjab witnessed a tragic incident early this morning when four people were killed in a firing incident.

The Army’s South Western Command has sealed off the area, and quick response teams have been activated to conduct search operations. The firing took place around 4:35 a.m. inside the officers’ mess, according to sources.

The Bathinda Senior Superintendent of Police, GS Khurana, stated that a police team is waiting outside the military station, but the Army has not permitted them entry yet.

The police added that all four gates of the military station have been shut. Further details are being ascertained as the Army conducts its search operations.

The incident has sent shockwaves across the country, and the loss of four lives is tragic. The cause of the incident and the identities of the victims are still unknown.
