The fest was an innovative kind of festival of jobs for Pharma professionals final year students of B Pharm, D Pharm and M Pharm as well as those Pharmacy pass outs who are employed were chance to selection in various companies. This job fest organized by Lloyd Institute witnessed the presence of largest Pharmaceutical MNCs like Nestle, Dabur, Panacea Biotech, Mankind, Jubilant, Aristo, Systopic, Pharmasynth, Max, Medplus, Apollo.In all 32 Pharmaceutical companies conducted selection procedure simultaneously in a well organized manner. Organizing secretary of this mega event and Principal of School of Pharmacy, Lloyd Institute,Dr. Vandana Arora said that it is a proud moment for her profession and Lloyd to find suitable jobs for candidates of 108 colleges from all over India, including DIPSAR, Delhi University, Jamia Hamdard,NIPER, Mohali, Punjab University, Sagar University, our own Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University,Puna College, Amity University.Candidates were excited about this event and expressed their gratitude whole-heartedly to Lloyd Institute for organizing such a fest to find them suitable placements.More than 800 candidates had registered for the event, out of which 620 appeared for selection procedure of various companies. There were more than 100 on the spot registrations or candidates, so that everybody got a fair chance for selection.The highlight of the event was its inauguration by Dr. G.N. Singh Drug Controller General of He congratulated Lloyd and its Chairman Mr. Manohar Thairani for selflessly putting months of efforts to invite 30 Pharmaceutical companies on a single day under Lloyd’s roof. He urged the companies and their officials employ more & more of Pharma professionals. Also present were Sh. S.L. Nasa, Registrar, Delhi Pharmacy Council or Sh. Atul Nasa, Licensing authority or Assistant Drug Controller of India. All the company officials were given certificates as an appland for participation in such an industrial linkage with academia.Dheeraj Nanda, Managing Director Nutrilife, said he was impressed with the effort taken by Lloyd for the cause of placement promised to conduct such a placement drive each year at Lloyd.Mr. Gupta of Pharmasynth Formulation said such a fest was organized for the first time for pharmacy students and talk high about the vision of the Lloyd Management.Each candidate was given chance to appear in 2 companies , according to their choice of job preference,that is, in pharmaceutical anufacturing or research and development or quality assurance or sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals.
