Follow the govt’s guidelines; offer namaz at homes: AIIO chief
As the death toll due to coronavirus in India surged to 17, infecting 724, All India Imam Organization’s chief Imam Dr Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi requested all Muslims and Imams In India to follow government’s guidelines on coronavirus and offer Friday namaz at their homes.
“I appeal to all the Muslims and Imams in India to strictly follow the government’s guidelines on Coronavirus.”
“I appeal to all Muslims to offer ‘Namaz’ only at their homes today,” AIIO chief.
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Maulana President Maulana Arshad Madani also advised Muslims to offer prayers at home only.
“In the view of government directives issued regarding coronavirus, I advise people to avoid gathering in mosques on Friday and offer prayers at home only,” said Madani.
“It is our religious and social responsibility to protect ourselves and others,” Madani added.
Delhi Jama Masjid Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari also appealed the same saying that the world is facing a tough challenge of coronavirus. “It is time to take all precautionary measures.”
“I appeal to the Muslims to offer all the prayers including Friday prayer from their homes,” Bukhari said.
