FONRWA Special Leave petition regarding DND Flyway filed in Hon’ble Supreme Court of India

As you are aware, FONRWA had filed PIL in hon’ble High Court at Allahabad  on 16.11.2012,, for revocation of the Concession Agreement signed between Noida Authority and Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited, on 12.11.1997, being totally in favour of NTBCL and against public interest.  Subsequently, we had also filed three stay applications in 2013, restraining  NTBCL not to levy toll fee until our PIL is disposed of by  Hon’ble High Court. Regrettably, our three stay applications were not considered by the Hon’ble High Court.  Hence we have now been constrained to file our SLP in Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, on 9.5.2016.  In our SLP, we have highlighted the various clauses of the Concession Agreement being totally tilted in favour of NTBCL and against public interest and the company having earned around  four times of their total  project cost.  We have now  prayed to the hon’ble Supreme Court of India :to graciously be pleased to grant ex-party interim order restraining NTBCL  not to recover any toll tax on DND Flyway, between Noida and Delhi, in terms of the concession agreement dated 12.11.1997.
The  SLP has been admitted and  granted  number as SLP (Civil) CC  8994 of 2016.  The case is listed to be heard on 29.06.2016.
This is for your kind information.  We shall keep you posted with further developments.
