New Delhi: In a set back to Tytler’s claim of no evidence of his involvement in 1984 anti-Sikh violence, two US based witnesses have dared to testify before the Indian court about Congress leader ‘s role in the killing of Sikhs.

California based Jasbir Singh and Resham Singh who were residents of Delhi in November 1984 have issued sworn affidavits giving startling details about how Tytler was involved in inciting and leading violence against Sikhs in the aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s assassination.

December 14 sworn affidavit of Resham Singh states “that on November 01, 1984, I was trying to reach my home. Passing by the Gurdwara Pulbangsh, I saw the smoke coming out of the Gurdwara building and outside a mob lead by Congress party leader Jagdish Tytler was chanting slogans “Khoon Ka Badla Khoon”. When I got closer, I saw and heard Jagdish Tytler instigating and screaming at the mob and pointing towards Gurdawara and ordering them to go and get the Sikhs hiding in the Gurdwara.”

Witness Jasbir Singh had earlier given affidavit to Nanavati Commission and his testimony regarding Tytler’s role was also recorded by CBI in December 2008 in San Francisco, California.

Jasbir Singh who lost more than two dozen family members in anti-Sikh violence, in his affidavit stated that “despite all the threats and danger to my life, I am willing to come to India to testify before the court of law regarding Jagdish Tytler’s involvement in the killing of Sikhs during November 1984”.

In the presence of witness Jasbir Singh’s mother and father, AISSF President Karnail Singh Peermohammad released the witness affidavits regarding Tytler’s role in killing of Sikhs.

Federation President stated that “despite over whelming evidence, successive Congress and BJP governments have failed to prosecute Tytler for his role in anti-Sikh genocidal violence”.  “Now that US based witnesses have announced to testify against Tytler in the court, murder charges should be filed against the Congress leader”, added Federation President.

“We are also trying to locate Chain Singh and Alam Singh who were reportedly present in Gurdwara Pulbangash where Tytler lead the attack in November 1984”, stated Karnail Singh Peermohammad.
