From December 16 registration for unauthorized colonies will begin : Manoj Tiwari

A day after Lok Sabha passes the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorised Colonies) Bill, 2019, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari announced that from December 16 registration for the unauthorized colony will begin.

The bill will provide a legal framework to grant ownership rights to people living in several unauthorised colonies in Delhi and will apply to 1,797 such colonies spread over 175 square-km of the national capital.

Alleging APP for spreading rumors regarding registration Manoj Tiwari said “Those who are sitting in power are doing spreading lies. But I want to tell them that the registry of unauthorized colonies will start on December 16 in Delhi.”

“The frustration of AAP MP Bhagwant Mann was clearly visible in Parliament when the bill got table in the parliament. Earlier they are present in Parliament,but as voting started the MP’s ran away so, Kejriwal should answer why AAP party MPs disappeared during voting in the House. ”

A conveyance deed is an essential document required for purchase of property, which is signed by all parties, and is a binding contract in a court of law. According to Kapoor, once they get the deed, people can approach the Delhi government to register their properties.

After this all kind of the developmental work will be look after by DDA and no other state government body will have its role in it. So as per the According to a DDA official, while a conveyance deed grants ownership rights to people and will be recorded with the body, registration of the property will mean they can take loan on it or sell it.

This bill giving ownership to more than 40 lakh people.
