FSSAI holds a public lecture on ‘Food Safety’

NEW DELHI : FSSAI (Food Safety and standards authority of India) in association with CHIFSS (CII-HUL Initiative on food safety sciences) today organised a public lecture on food safety at India Habitate centre, New Delhi.
The lecture titled, “Integrated predictive models and sensors in food supply chains to enhance food safety,” was delivered by Prof. Mark Tamplin, Central Leader, Food
Safety Centre, and University of Tasmania, Australia.
Prof. Tamplin spoke on the significance and importance of predictive models in the field of food technology. “Integrated predictive models are confidence building measures as it brings together people from various disciplines; mathematicians, micro-biologists, computer scientists and others to work in the field.”
CHIFSS, marking its first anniversary, also released ‘Advanced bakery training modules’ as a part of their sector specific training packages.
