G-20 Presidency a Great Opportunity to foster Peace, Harmony, and Hope: Swami Mukundananda at Amity Haryana

India’s rich and profound heritage holds a great promise to provide to the world community a new hope, rather a new agenda to create a blissful world free from tyranny of war, sufferings from the diseases and ills of development devoid of care and concern for conservation of natural resources and health of the environment. The G-20 Presidency of India during the Year 2023 has come at a highly opportune time when the Nations of the world are at crossroad seeking directions for growth and development to create a new world of inclusiveness and sustainability as also to promise good health of 8 billion plus people around the globe said Swami Mukundananda in his G-20 University Connect Address to the young inspired minds of student, PhD Scholars, Faculty and Staff Members present in the august auditorium of AUH  and many more connected online today, April 6, 2023.

Enthralling the young minds of students and scholars, Swami Mukudananda, an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Kolkata said the Master Key of Happiness, Peace and Harmony lies in practicing the age-old, time-tested mantra of “Be Good, Do Good and Feel Good”. It requires more than modern education to train the mind to control one’s lust and greed and tune to the noble objective of human life to live a life of purity and righteous conduct to serve the Society and Mother Nature.

Our ancient tradition of living in peace and harmony with nature and our ethos of human integrity and responsible behaviour should invoke in us a firm commitment to be on the side of goodness and cultivate peace and harmony all around, said Swami Mukundananda in his highly impactful address to approximately 1000 students and faculty present in person in jam packed large auditorium of AUH. India has all the opportunity during the G-20 India Presidency year to inspire the world community to cultivate peace, harmony and hope as the G-20 Presidency is all about creating blissful world, now that One Earth, One Family and One Future is for one and all around the globe, as ordained in the Vedic philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

Welcoming Swami Mukundananda, eminent educationist Prof PB Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Haryana and a Former Professor of IIT Delhi invited the student community to imbibe human value of integrity in personal and professional life, truthfulness of speech and actions and prepare themselves to be the future ready to shoulder a great sense of responsibility towards creating a bright future for the current and future generations. Under the visionary leadership of  Founder President of Amity Education Group, Dr Ashok K Chauhan and dynamic leadership of Chancellor AUH, Dr Aseem Chauhan, we at Amity University are committed to lead by example in respect of our responsibility towards the society and Mother Nature as also to contribute effectively to the National Missions and Global Aspirations, said Prof Sharma while highlighting the unique features of the AUH campus and its accomplishments. He said, we have an oxygen rich campus, having organic farming, a Goshala of approximately healthy cows and their family, a highly enriched herbal garden and a campus gravitating with highly enriched culture of research for development and innovation for new technologies and innovative product development.

In the question answer session, Swami Ji interacted with the young minds who wanted to know the mantras of success and the ways to maintain purity of mind and actions. They also wanted to understand the connection between science and spirituality and the difference between mind and soul. Swami Ji happily answered the questions and shared number of stories and anecdotes to elucidate the relationship between mind, body and soul and the role of spirituality to create a blissful and happy world.

The Lecture was attended by Deans, Heads of Institutions, faculty and students and was  also graced by Dr W Selvamurthy, renowned scientist and former Chief Controller of R&D, DRDO, Government of India who currently is the President of Amity Science, Technology and Innovation Foundation, ASTIF of Amity Education Group.

Swamiji’s Lecture was coordinated by Dr Sanjna Vij, Head of Academic Staff College of AUH and Nodal Officer of G-20 University Connect at AUH. The vote of thanks was delivered by Rear Admiral KK Pandey PVSM, VSM (Retd), Director HR.
