“Galgotias became a family away from home”: International students at Galgotias University

Greater Noida, 25 July 2022: Galgotias University has been home to more than 17000 students across 150 disciplines including students from India and abroad. In this segment, Ten News brings to you the experiences shared by the international students of Galgotias University on the occasion of the 6th Convocation Ceremony organized by the University.

Slongalin John Alinana, a student of the University hailing from South Sudan pursuing BBA in logistics and supply chain says, “At first, it was difficult to adapt because I was new to the country, meeting new people and friends, but with time I adapted to the environment and had the most amazing time of my life at the Galgotias University.”

Initially, the experience was difficult adapting to a new country and new people, however, with the help of lecturers and faculty members at Galgotias, I was able to cope with my classes and classmates,” says Chanda Walia from Zambia studying BSc at Galgotias.

On placement opportunities, John says, “Galgotias University has been instrumental in the placement of several students which has shaped their careers.”

“If we want to go for higher studies, Galgotias help the students by giving a letter of recommendation to the students which helps them to edge up their profiles,” says Walia.

A bachelor in Cardiovascular Technology student, Manuella Sierra from Zambia talked about the four-year-long course at Galgotias, “I made a family away from home. The teachers were extremely hard working and willing to teach us anything and everything we needed to know.”
