Galgotias convocation 2018: Dr. Sambit Patra inspires with Electrifying speech, meritorious students awarded medals!

One of North India’s most premium institute namely Galgotias University held its convocation 2018 on Saturday. National Spokesperson of BJP Dr. Sambit Patra was the chief guest for the occasion whereas Chairman of Mahindra Aerospace SP Shukla was the guest of honour.

University Chancellor Suneel Galgotia declared the convocation open and also delivered the welcome address. He said, “ The convocation is the right time to reaffirm our faith in the education system and university and to prepare ourselves for the outer world. Galgotias as an institute has always strived hard to bestow best of education into our students and we wish you all the best for a very bright and glorious future”.

Thereafter University Vice-Chancellor Renu Luthra presented the annual report. She said, “ Galgotias University has 17 schools as well as a University Polytechnic. The University emphasizes on project based learning and practical learning. Engineering school and school of architecture has enabled 100% project based learning. Digitised India is the dream of our honourable PM and keeping in view with it we have digitals our learning process. We want to ensure that employment quotient of our students rise to all time high”.

She also informed the audience about the recent achievement of the University and said, “The University has been conferred with five Star in Q Star International Learning. Galgotias is only University in India to get five Star in both academics and facilities and we are really proud of it”.

Guest of Honor SP Shukla, Chairman, Mahindra Aerospace said, “We make choices every day. Some are small, some are large. They are made in private space and public space. Choices aren’t made in isolation; choices are made when you have choice. No decision can be made without a choice. With spectrum of choices only decision makes come into picture. Being intelligent is often within us, working hard or not working hard is the choice that we make”.

He also shared his success mantra and said, “There is no one single formula of success but just remember that do not listen to anybody who tells you to not to follow your passion and follow some herd”.

Finally National Spokesperson of BJP Sambit Patra took to stage and left everyone motivated and mesmerized.

Delivering an electrifying address Sambit Patra said, “There are three types of ‘Daan’ namely VidyaDaan, KanyaDaan and Jeevan Daan and all these three are significant part of everyone’s life. Today the students are receiving what could be termed as ‘VidyaDaan’”.

He also expressed apprehensions on the customs and particularly the uniform that is worn during all such ceremonies including the Convocation.

Motivating students to excel in life and adopt their hobbies as their career, he said, “If you want happiness for life then chose your favourite hobby as your profession. In that way we do not have to work even for a single day because you are doing what you are in love with”.

Galgotias University CEO Dhruv Galgotia delivered Vote of thanks and congratulated students on successful completion of their degrees.

The convocation ceremony culminated with the National Anthem. While the procession moved out to bid adieu to the guests, excited students crowded the photo booths to click a memorable picture of their very special day.
