Galgotias University hosts Grand Convocation, HDFC Bank Chairman Bestows Degrees on 3906 Graduates

Galgotias University witnessed a momentous occasion as it celebrated its convocation ceremony, conferring degrees upon 3906 graduates of the class of 2023. The ceremony, graced by esteemed dignitaries, highlighted the academic achievements and future endeavors of the graduating students.

The event, held at Galgotias University campus, saw the presence of distinguished Chief Guest Atanu Chakravarti, Chairman of HDFC Bank, and Guest of Honour, Clemente Pedro Francisco, Ambassador of Angola to India. Their presence added prestige to the occasion, reflecting the university’s commitment to academic excellence and global engagement.

Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor of Galgotias University, extended a warm welcome to the guests, graduating students, and their parents. He emphasized the importance of value-based education in fostering peace and harmony in the world. Chancellor Galgotia encouraged the graduates to contribute to the vision of “Viksit Bharat – Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas” advocated by Prime Minister Modi ji. He highlighted the university’s efforts to equip students with the competencies needed for evolving work profiles, emphasizing the role of digital technology in expanding access to education.

Dr. KM Babu, Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University, presented the university’s annual report for the year 2022-23, showcasing achievements in research, innovation, and academic programs. Dr. Babu highlighted the university’s recent recognition as a 5-star institution for Excellence by QS Ranking and its third position in patent filings in India.

In his convocation address, Atanu Chakraborty commended Galgotias University for its contributions to research, innovation, and pedagogy. He encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning and make meaningful contributions to their communities and the world.

Clemente Pedro Francisco lauded the university’s international outreach efforts and congratulated the graduates on their achievements.

Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, acknowledged the outgoing members of the student council and emphasized the importance of lifelong learning for personal and professional growth.

Aradhana Galgotia, Director Operations at Galgotias University, urged graduates to uphold the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and innovation instilled by the university.

Dr. Avadhesh Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, presented the total count of graduates to the Chancellor for degree conferral. Dr. Nitin Gaur, Registrar, led the academic procession, ensuring the success of the convocation.

As the ceremony concluded, the Chancellor declared the convocation closed, followed by the rendition of the national anthem, marking the end of a memorable event celebrating academic achievement and future promise.
