Galgotias University hosts seminar on Agriculture

A grand agricultural seminar was organized at Galgotias University today.

In the agricultural seminar, RG Agarwal, Chairman of India’s leading agro-chemical Dhanuka Agritech Limited was the chief guest. He was welcomed by University Chancellor, Suneel Galgotia.

RG Aggarwal has made significant contributions to the agrochemical industry in India and has been a pioneer in positive change in agriculture. In this seminar today, he interacted directly with the students of Agriculture of Galgotias University and shared his experiences.

He said that India is an agricultural country and agriculture is the soul of India. In his address to students, he mentioned that students are the agriculturists of tomorrow, building the bright future of India in the field of agriculture. He talked to the students on many topics related to agriculture which included measures to make the land fertile, checking and maintaining the quality of seeds, correct use of pesticides and how crops can be managed. He also asked many important questions to the students and rewarded the students.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. K. Mallikarjuna Babu said that I am very thankful to today’s special guest from the bottom of my heart for making us proud with his presence for a special interaction with our students. This session will provide our students with a unique opportunity to learn from one of the most accomplished leader in the industry.

Advisor to Chancellor, Galgotias University, Dr. Renu Luthra said that our School of Agriculture adopts innovation and technology. We believe that the future of agriculture lies in the integration of cutting-edge advancements. Our students are not just learners; they are the innovators who will drive the future of agriculture.

Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor of the University, said that agriculture is the foundation of our society, providing us with the essential livelihoods and also playing a vital role in addressing some of the most pressing global challenges. Our School of Agriculture has recognized this importance and has risen to the occasion with unwavering dedication. One of the hallmarks of our School of Agriculture is its commitment to excellence in education, research and extension.

University CEO Dr. Dhruv Galgotia said that the presence of RG Aggarwal, a pioneer in the field of agriculture will enrich the educational experience of our students and reaffirm our commitment towards academic excellence.

Aradhana Galgotia, Director Operations of the University, said that our commitment towards community outreach and extension service is a testament to our dedication towards bringing meaningful change in the lives of those who depend on agriculture for their livelihood.

Dr. Sahdeva Singh, Dean, School of Agriculture, inaugurated the program and the closing remarks were given by Dr. Hari S. Gaur, Distinguished Professor, School of Agriculture. Dr Uzma Manzoor, Associate Dean, School of Agriculture was the moderator.
