Galgotias University launches logo of Disability Rights Clinic

The inauguration ceremony of DRC logo was held at Galgotias University’s Vivekananda Auditorium on October 28, 2023.

The purpose of the event was to reaffirm the commitment of achieving equality for those with disabilities. The event provided a platform for meaningful discussions on disability rights, ultimately striving for a more inclusive and accessible society for people with disabilities. The speakers addressed a wide range of topics during the inauguration ceremony.

The logo is designed to represent the commitment of Galgotias University towards their mission of “Equality for Disability”. The DRC Logo features both, a person with disability and a person without disability symbolizing the letters DR, as well as the surrounding letter C. The choice of colors for the logo, red, blue, and yellow are inspired from the logo of Galgotias University and stands for a commitment to achieving the objective of equality for people with disabilities.

Chief Guest Justice Mohammed Nias C.P unveiled the logo and Aradhana Galgotia, the Director of Galgotias University delivered a warm and heartfelt welcome address.

Along with other eminent dignitaries the event was graced by Prof. Jagdish Chander, associate professor at Hindu College; Dr. Sachin, associate professor at Himachal Pradesh National Law School; Dr. Mallikarjuna Babu, the Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University; Prof. Namita Singh Malik, Dean of Galgotias University’s school of law. Their attendance at the event was marked by warmth and enthusiasm.

The event was organized by Dr. Smitha Nizar, Head and Founder of Disability Rights Clinic and Associate Dean of School of Law at Galgotias University. She expressed gratitude to all participants.
