Galgotias University organizes National Conference on Fostering Indian Pharma Industries

The Department of Pharmacy, School of Medical & Allied Sciences at Galgotias University organized a National Conference on “Fostering Indian Pharmaceutical Industries and Challenges in Sustainable Environment Development” on 27th April, 2024.

The conference witnessed the presence of distinguished experts from the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and research organizations. 275 delegates participated from 41 Universities/institutions and 165 Research abstracts were presented across the country. These Abstracts will be published in ISBN, Government of India.

The conference was graced by the presence of Dr. Kalhan Bazaz, President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (Delhi State Branch), Dr. Vivek Gupta, Clinical Scientist and Associate Professor, Department of Pathology and Head of Research & Development at Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida and Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Honorary Secretary of IPA-Delhi State Branch and Senior General Manager of Clinical Operations at Datt Medi-products Pvt Ltd., Delhi.

Significant highlight of the event was the unveiling of the conference proceedings book, marking a momentous occasion in the conference. This unveiling ceremony was honored by the presence of our esteemed guests, further adding significance to the event.

During the conference, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Galgotias University and the Indian Pharmaceutical Association. This MOU symbolizes a commitment to collaboration, innovation and mutual support in advancing the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sector; thereby fostering growth and development in the industry.

The conference was featured by two Scientists, Dr. Rajesh Agrawal, General Manager and R&D Head at Modi-mundi Pharma and Dr. Gauri Mishra who delivered an insightful talk on sustainable pharmaceuticals development, shedding light on the importance of eco-friendly practices in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Gauri Mishra discussed the advancements and challenges in this crucial area of pharmaceutical research and development.

The conference proceedings were monitored by Prof. SK.Abdul Rahaman, Dean and Convener, Dr. Prem Shankar, organizing Secretary and Dr. Niranjan Kaushik from Galgotias University.
