Galgotias University Secures Platinum Subject Rating in Education from QS I-GAUGE

Greater Noida News (06/10/2026): Galgotias University has received the Platinum Subject Rating in Education from QS I-GAUGE, marking a significant recognition of its academic performance and quality standards in the field of Education.

The independent subject-level assessment adds to the university’s growing national and international academic profile and highlights its continued focus on strengthening educational standards, institutional development and continuous improvement.

QS I-GAUGE is an India-focused higher education rating framework that evaluates institutions and individual academic disciplines against defined quality benchmarks. The Platinum Subject Rating was awarded following an independent assessment of Galgotias University’s performance against the indicators prescribed under the subject-rating methodology.

The recognition is particularly significant for the Education discipline, which plays a vital role in developing educators and shaping the quality of learning across society. For Galgotias University, the distinction represents another milestone in its efforts to strengthen academic practices and contribute to the development of the discipline.

Strong Performance in QS and Times Higher Education Rankings

The latest subject-level recognition comes alongside Galgotias University’s performance in the QS World University Rankings 2027. The university has been placed in the 1201–1400 global band, ranked 46th among universities in India, and 16th among private universities in the country. It has also secured the third position among private universities in Uttar Pradesh.

The university has recorded further progress in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, moving into the 1001–1200 global band, compared with the 1201–1500 band in the previous edition.

In the latest Times Higher Education rankings, Galgotias University has climbed to 41st among universities in India, compared with 65th previously. It has also improved its position among private universities and institutions, moving to 20th from 27th.

The university said the different recognitions provide perspectives on its performance at both subject and institutional levels. While the QS I-GAUGE rating specifically evaluates the Education discipline against defined benchmarks, global university rankings assess institutions through their respective methodologies.

According to the university, the latest recognition is not only an acknowledgement of its current academic performance but also a responsibility to sustain and build on the progress achieved.
