Gautam Adani Reappointed Adani Group’s Executive Chairman for Five Years

Mumbai (India), 5th May 2023: Adani Enterprises, which announced its results for the March quarter on Thursday, stated that the board of directors has accepted Gautam Adani’s reappointment as the company’s Executive Chairman for another five years. The reappointment takes effect on December 1, 2023. His current term will end on November 30, 2023.

The company said, “Mr. Adani’s success story is extraordinary in many ways. His journey has been marked by his ambitious and entrepreneurial vision, coupled with great vigour and hard work.”

They further added, “This has not only enabled the Group to achieve numerous milestones but also resulted in creation of a robust business model which is contributing towards building sound infrastructure in India.”

The firm recently announced that its Annual General Meeting will be held through video conferencing and other audio visual means on July 18 at 10 a.m.

Meanwhile, the company reported a 138% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the March quarter, with Rs 722.48 crore. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations increased by more than 26% to Rs 31,346.05 crore in the March 2023 quarter, up from Rs 24,865.52 crore in the March 2022 quarter, thanks to its important coal tradition segment.

Gautam Adani remarked of the findings, “Adani Enterprises has lived up to its reputation as not only India’s most successful business incubator, but also one of the world’s most successful infrastructure foundries.”

Adani further said, “The past year’s results represent indisputable evidence of the strength and resilience of the Adani Group’s operational and financial performance.”
