Gautam Buddha University Signs MoU with All India Institute of Ayurveda

Greater Noida News (12/03/2026): Gautam Buddha University (GBU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, marking a significant step toward strengthening cooperation in education, research, and innovation in the field of Ayurveda and integrative healthcare.

The agreement was formally signed during a ceremony held at the All India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi. Representing Gautam Buddha University, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rana Pratap Singh participated in the signing, while Prof. (Vd.) P. K. Prajapati signed the agreement on behalf of AIIA.

The event was attended by several senior academicians and faculty members from both institutions. From Gautam Buddha University, Prof. S. Dhanalakshmi, Dean of the School of Biotechnology; Dr. Rekha Puria, Head of the School of Biotechnology; and Dr. Ankita Sharma, faculty member of the School of Biotechnology, were present. They were joined by senior faculty members and Deans from the All India Institute of Ayurveda.

The MoU is aimed at fostering collaborative academic initiatives and research activities related to Ayurveda and integrative medicine. Through this partnership, both institutions will undertake joint research projects, organize seminars and workshops, and promote various academic engagements that encourage knowledge exchange between scholars and researchers.

A key objective of the collaboration is to advance scientific exploration in Ayurveda by integrating modern scientific disciplines with traditional medical knowledge. In particular, the synergy between biotechnology and Ayurveda biology is expected to support the development of evidence-based Ayurvedic therapies and healthcare solutions.

The agreement will also provide significant academic benefits to students enrolled in the B.Sc.–M.Sc. Ayurveda Biology programme offered by the School of Biotechnology at Gautam Buddha University. Through this partnership, students will gain greater access to research opportunities, specialized training, and academic exposure at the All India Institute of Ayurveda.

 

University officials believe that this collaboration will play a vital role in strengthening research in Ayurveda and encouraging innovation in healthcare. By combining traditional wisdom with contemporary scientific methodologies, the partnership is expected to create new avenues for advancing knowledge and improving healthcare practices.
