Gautam Gambhir files Defamation suit against AAP over pamphlet charges

New Delhi, (10/5/2019):*cc Yesterday, his rival and Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Atishi Marlena along with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia accused Gambhir of distributing offensive pamphlets in the constituency. The pamphlets consist of some offensive comments on Atishi Marlena and about her personal life. Atishi yesterday broke down in tears while addressing a press conference.

Today, the BJP condemns AAP’s move to defame cricketer turned politician Gautam Gambhir. While addressing a conference Union Minister Vijay Goel said, “Arvind Kejriwal is a shameless person and its only his fear of losing the elections which led him do this to his own colleague and party member. And i want to ask him how he immediately know that any thing which is against the Aam Aadmi Party is related to BJP. He immediately accused BJP of sending someone to slap him, how he knows that BJP is giving money to his MLA’s and now this. Its only his fear of losing the elections and nothing else”.

Whereas, former AAP crusader and BJP member, Shazia Ilmi alleged that AAP had used similar kinds of “dirty tricks” against her as well during earlier election campaigns and called out Atishi for her “backstabbing”. “AAP’s dirty tricks department at work. The same kind of filth was written about me by their trolls! Gautam Gambhir is a decent person. After using the caste card please don’t use the woman card! Atishi we can see through your tricks. Known you and your backstabbing a long time.

Meanwhile, Gambhir moved court against Kejriwal, Sisodia and Atishi with a defamation suit today and said, “I condemn what has happened. I am from a family where I have been taught to respect women. I didn’t know Arvind Kejriwal would stoop so low. I have filed a defamation case”.
