Greater Noida News (17/03/2026): In a move aimed at aligning higher education with competitive exam readiness, Gautam Buddha University (GBU), Greater Noida, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tathastu Civil Services Training Institute to introduce an integrated Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme combined with preparation for the Civil Services Examination.
The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between traditional undergraduate studies and the rigorous preparation required for the examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). By embedding structured coaching within the academic curriculum, the programme aims to equip students with both academic knowledge and competitive exam skills from an early stage.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Rana Pratap Singh highlighted that the collaboration reflects the university’s vision of integrating classroom learning with career-oriented training. He emphasized that the initiative will create meaningful opportunities for students aspiring to enter public service.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by several senior officials from GBU, including Dean Academics Prof. Rajeev Varshney, Deputy Registrar Prof. Uttam Kumar, and Dean of School of Biotechnology Prof. S. Dhanalakshmi, along with deans of various schools. Representatives from Tathastu Institute, including Chief Finance Officer Ajay Jain and Chief Marketing Officer Rohit Jain, were also present.
Dr. Tanu Jain, Founder and Director of Tathastu Civil Services Training Institute and a former civil servant, noted that the partnership would allow students to begin focused preparation for civil services during their undergraduate years. She added that the programme is structured to build a strong conceptual foundation essential for careers in governance and public administration.
Under the proposed programme, BA students at GBU will receive comprehensive UPSC coaching alongside their regular studies. The curriculum will include modules on General Studies, analysis of current affairs, answer-writing practice, and personality development. The integrated approach is expected to significantly enhance students’ preparedness and give them a competitive edge in one of India’s most prestigious examinations.
University officials believe that this collaboration will serve as a valuable addition for students aiming to pursue careers in civil services, while also strengthening GBU’s focus on outcome-driven education.
