GBU’s NextGen Defence Technology Webinar advocates in-house quality production of Weaponry

The day one of the 2-day NextGen Defence Technologies (NGDT-2021) webinar held by Gautam Buddha University in collaboration with the University School of ICT and School of Engineering, provided a perfect environment for the defense technological experts to discuss impactful exchange of Ideas for agile and safer living in our Nation.

Speaking on Friday, Major General Dr. R. Kochhar VSM as ex-MGAOC Central Commander talked about fast pace technological modernization occurring in Indian Arm Forces. Mr. Vinit Goenka -Secretary Centre of Knowledge Sovereignty talked about Geospatial technologies’ vital roles in threats condition. Mr. Bharat Panchal – Chief Risk Officer APAC discussed the most important aspects of severe concern for the Nation in IT and Cybersecurity.

Dr. M. Kartikeyan an eminent Scientist from ISRO, expressed his views on sunrise technologies for next-generation weapons. Citing his background, he inspired the audience to work on their skills and curiosity in Science to build for the Nation. Mr. Kuldeep Goyal Scientist from DRDO revealed about Sensor Surveillance and IOTs based monitoring and control. Dr. T.C Shami – Additional Director (Retd.) DRDO, spoke about Smart Materials impartment in Stealth Applications use in Defence.

Further Air Vice Marshal P.K.H. Sinha delivered his valuable insight on National Security Threat Emanating from Social Media. He asserted the concern of behavioral change in our life due to being surrounded by social media and pinpoints ways to regain social hygiene in us. Ms. Alka Sharma PCDA Airforce communicated on scenarios of Budget and Costs in Defence Sector.

For the very first time, Gautam Buddha University conducted the Next Generation Defence Technology Webinar to engage with more than 300 participants across the nation and abroad.
