50-year-old killed after altercation

GHAZIABAD: A 50-year-old farmer, Devender Tyagi, was killed in Ghaziabad on Tuesday over a minor altercation that snowballed into a big fight between neighbours over accidental splashing of muddy water. Police said the incident took place around 7.30pm on Tuesday.

The altercation took place between the families of Devender and Robin Tyagi (36), a property dealer, who are related to each other. Police said the altercation began on Monday evening, when a member of Robin`s family was driving out of their house in a vehicle and he accidentally splashed muddy water on Puneet (20), son of Yoginder who is Devender`s brother. An argument ensued and was settled through negotiations.
