#Delhi businessman shot dead in car on NH-58, kin escape

GHAZIABAD: A 36-year-old Delhi businessman was shot dead on NH-58 bypass near Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad on Wednesday night. Man Singh was travelling in an SUV to Haridwar along with his wife Shalini (33) and cousin Vipul (26). Both Shalini and Vipul, who escaped unhurt, told police that two men on a motorcycle opened fire upon their vehicle just after they had taken a left turn from GT Road for the highway around 10pm. Police said Singh, who lived with his wife and two sons in Dwarka, was sitting on the seat behind the driver and sustained two bullet wounds on the right side of his head. He died before he could receive medical aid. Singh used to run a merchant navy training centre and overseas placement agency in Dwarka Sector 7.
