#Ghaziabad RTO recommends state government to cancel licenses of 38 pollution checking centres

The Ghaziabad Regional Transport Office (RTO) has suggested the state government to cancel the licenses of 38 vehicle pollution checking centres in city for violation of norms and operating procedures as the district gears up to implement the National Green Tribunal (NGT)’s ban on diesel vehicles over 10 years old.The RTO has also sought action against one such pollution checking centre in Hapur. There are nearly 207 authorised pollution checking centres in the four cities – Noida, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr and Hapur under the Ghaziabad RTO.
