GIMS and Galgotias University Join Hands for Academic and Research Collaboration

Greater Noida (08 November 2025): In a significant step toward advancing medical education and research, the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, and Galgotias University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in the fields of biomedical, clinical, and allied health sciences.

The agreement was formally signed by Dr. (Brig.) Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Director of GIMS, and Prof. (Dr.) Saurabh Srivastava, Chief Medical Superintendent, representing GIMS; while Dr. Nitin Kumar Gaur, Registrar, and Prof. (Dr.) Abhimanyu Kumar Jha, Dean of the School of Biosciences and Technology, signed on behalf of Galgotias University.

This strategic partnership is aimed at promoting joint research initiatives, academic exchange, and professional training between the two premier institutions. Under the MoU, GIMS and Galgotias University will work together to conduct collaborative research projects, organize conferences, workshops, and training programs, and develop innovative solutions in healthcare and life sciences.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. (Brig.) Rakesh Kumar Gupta emphasized that such collaborations are essential to bridge the gap between academic research and clinical application. Our joint efforts will foster an environment that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing, benefiting both students and the wider medical community, he said.

Prof. (Dr.) Abhimanyu Kumar Jha added that the MoU would open new avenues for interdisciplinary research and skill development. Through this partnership, students and researchers will gain access to advanced biomedical resources and real-world exposure that will help strengthen India’s healthcare ecosystem, he noted.

Faculty members, researchers, and scientists from both institutions were present during the signing ceremony, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership aimed at enhancing healthcare education, research excellence, and technological innovation in the Greater Noida region.
