GIMS Greater Noida Conducts Two-Day Life Support Training to Strengthen Emergency Care Skills

Greater Noida News (10/04/2026): The Department of Anaesthesia at Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, organized a comprehensive two-day training program on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Comprehensive Cardiac Life Support (CCLS) on April 8 and 9, 2026. The training was conducted under the aegis of the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation (IRCF) with the objective of enhancing the emergency response capabilities of healthcare professionals.

The workshop focused on equipping participants with updated knowledge and practical skills required to handle medical emergencies and perform life-saving procedures effectively. Through a series of interactive sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on training modules, participants were trained in critical resuscitation techniques, enabling them to respond swiftly and efficiently during cardiac and other medical emergencies.

Healthcare professionals from different departments actively participated in the sessions, making the program both engaging and informative. The training emphasized the importance of timely intervention and coordinated teamwork in improving patient survival rates during critical situations.

The program was attended by Dr. Baljeet Singh, Founder Member of the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation, who joined the workshop as the Special Guest. During the event, he shared valuable insights and highlighted the significance of structured training in resuscitation and emergency care for medical professionals.

On the occasion, Rakesh Gupta, Director of Government Institute of Medical Sciences, felicitated Dr. Baljeet Singh in recognition of his significant contribution to promoting training and awareness in emergency and critical care management.

The Department of Anaesthesia at GIMS reiterated its commitment to advancing medical education and strengthening emergency preparedness through such academic initiatives.
