GIMS Hosts Annual Multidisciplinary Research Conclave on Translating Science into Healthcare Impact

Greater Noida News (28/02/2026): The Department of Medical Research at GIMS organized its Annual Multidisciplinary Research Conclave at Patanjali Hall, focusing on the theme “Translating Science into Real-World Impact on Healthcare.” The conclave served as a high-level academic platform, bringing together leading scientists, clinicians, academicians, and researchers from across India and abroad to deliberate on how scientific discoveries can be effectively translated into improved healthcare outcomes.

The event witnessed participation from several eminent experts representing premier institutions and research organizations. Among the distinguished speakers were Prof. Rajeev Varshney, former Director of DRDO-DIPAS; Dr. Dharmesh Lal, Deputy Director General at ICMR; Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, former Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Rajesh Pandey from CSIR-IGIB; Dr. Mohit Pahuja of the University of Oklahoma; Prof. Jayashree Bhattacharya, former Additional Director General of Health Services; Er. Anil Patnaik from Quest Research Center; and Dr. Dinesh Kumar from NIFTEM-K.

Through a series of keynote addresses and thematic sessions, the conclave explored a wide spectrum of contemporary research areas. Discussions ranged from cardiogenic shock management and extreme environmental physiology to genomics-driven clinical decision-making, evidence-based policy translation, cognition and perception science, Needonomics, environmental and women’s health, infectious diseases, and advances in precision diagnostics. Speakers emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to bridge the gap between laboratory research and clinical application.

The conclave also placed strong emphasis on nurturing young researchers. Interactive segments such as a science quiz, poster presentation sessions, and a networking luncheon provided early-career scientists and students with opportunities to present their work, exchange ideas, and engage directly with senior experts in their fields.
