Greater Noida (22/11/18) : GL Bajaj Institute Greater Noida on Thursday celebrated its 14th foundation day.
During this celebration Jagdambika Pal, Member of Parliament and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He was welcomed by school administration by offering a bouquet and there after he inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Program began with a graceful dance performance on Saraswati vandana.
Speaking during his speech, he said that the ranking of India’s Prominent Media Houses and the MHRD proved that GL. Bajaj Institute has worked hard in the past year. He said that student should feel proud that they are part of such a prestigious collage.”
Further he said that “I don’t find myself appropriate as chief guest for today’s event but its only the root values of Pankaj (Vice Chairman) who invited me just because I had laid down the foundation stone of the collage 14 years back and this was the first foundation day celebrations of the institute.”
He also gave his best wishes to the students.
In between the program students also gave power packed dance performances on patriotic songs and presented a ramp walk based on the theme of five elements of earth. This concept was largely applauded by the audiences sitting in a beautifully designed and newly inaugurated auditorium.
Talented students were also honored on this occasion. ECC student Shubham Chauhan, Ajay Kumar Singh got the award for startup Venture, the same award was awarded to Himanshu Ranjan, Sauraya Deep Singh, who received a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs from the Startup Atal Incubation Center.
Students of CSE Sagar Tyagi, Tushar Agarwal, Shubhangi, Siddhivinayakam Singh, Shivam Shahi, Yogesh Singh were honored to receive the first prize of Rs. 1 lakh on winning the Smart India hackathon 2018.
Speaking in his welcome address, the Vice Chairman of the institute Pankaj Agarwal said that “He is proud that GLBAJAJ has registered its success in every field since its establishment. The institute got its name among the list of the top 200 institutes of the country. All this only became possible because of the hard work and dedication shown by the faculty members and students. Chairman of the Institute Dr. Ram Kishore Agarwal’s vision and guidance has also played a great role in this success story.
Further he added that “In the coming years, there is a need to move ahead with similar effort and vision. Our education system, our research and our students are our future.”
Speaking on this occasion Mr. R.K. Agrawal Chairman of the Institute said that “The foundation of this institute was laid by Mr. Jagdambika Pal on the day of November 21, 2004. The hard work done in the past year has named today G.L. Bajaj Institute among top A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.
The director of the institute Dr. Rajiv Agarwal thanked everyone and presented the last 13 years details and achievements scaled by the institute in such short span of time through a power point presentation.
