GL Bajaj frontrunner in promoting Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Atal Rankings 2021

Greater Noida, 4th January: On 29th December, 2021 the Centre announced the Atal Ranking of Institution on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA), 2021. Greater Noida’s GL Bajaj, one of the best engineering and management colleges in UP, found a place for itself in the ‘Excellent’ band under private technical colleges.

The ranking is a result of consistent efforts made by the Institute to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among the students and faculties.

Expressing his delight on this superlative ranking, Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Group of Institutions said, “We have always been inclined to create robust infrastructure and blooming culture for innovations at the student level. Our commitment has yet proved its mettle with this ranking.”

Since last many years, GL Bajaj has been securing top spots in different ranking surveys which speaks volumes about the quality of education at the Institute. In 2020, it was ranked at 26 in the category of top Engineering colleges by India Today. It was also acknowledged as the number 1 college in UP by India Today in 2019.

Apart from this, Outlook in 2021 ranked GL Bajaj at 50 under the category of private MBA colleges.

GL Bajaj has also been listed among the top engineering colleges of India by NIRF, issued by Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) is a policy initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India implemented through AICTE and MoE’s Innovation Cell to systematically rank all major higher educational institutions and universities in India on indicators related to promotion and support of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development” amongst students and faculties.

ARIIA classifies participating Institutions in two major categories – technical & non- technical in which further ranking was classified & announced in separate sub categories including centrally funded technical institutions, state universities, state standalone technical colleges, private universities, private standalone technical colleges, non-technical government and private universities and institutions.

The ARIIA 2021 was the third edition in which out of total of 3551 HEIs registered, 1438 institutions participated.
