GL Bajaj Showcases Cutting-Edge Student Innovations at Bharat Shiksha Expo 2025

Greater Noida (25 April 2025): The much-anticipated Bharat Shiksha Expo 2025 officially commenced at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. The three-day event, scheduled from April 24 to 26, aims to redefine the landscape of education in India through the fusion of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The second edition of this national education fair spans over 14,000 square meters, featuring 200+ exhibitors, 500+ educational products and services, over 25 thematic categories, and 20 student-centric activities. A central highlight of the event is the ‘Creathon’ Innovation Challenge, which invites young minds to develop technology-driven, solution-oriented ideas for real-world issues.

Among the prominent exhibitors at the prestigious Bharat Shiksha Expo 2025 is GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, a leading name in the field of engineering and management education. Known for its consistent academic excellence and focus on innovation, the institute has taken a significant step in promoting student-led technology at the national platform through its participation in the expo.

During an exclusive interaction with Ten News, Dr. Abhishek Pandey, a key representative of GL Bajaj, shared the institution’s vision and their active role at the expo. He elaborated on how platforms like Bharat Shiksha Expo play a crucial role in nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation among students.

Showcasing Innovation to Inspire the Next Generation

When asked about the institute’s projects, Dr. Pandey explained, “What we are doing here is we are showcasing our best projects. Today, we are showcasing our Year 6 project, out of which we have a co-robot here. This robot ensures industrial safety by monitoring the working report of the person interacting with the robot. If the robot stops, it indicates a possible issue with the worker, which is a critical safety feature.

He also highlighted another standout project called Ashguard, developed by a student named Yash. This is a very good project. In this, he is talking about safety, which is the prime concern. They are going to suggest the safest route, especially for women, from waste areas. With this project, we are not only presenting our innovation but also inspiring school students who are visiting the expo. They are observing what we are capable of doing, and it gives them a live demonstration of how technology can solve real-life problems.

Integrating Hackathons and Creathons into Education

Touching upon how the institution incorporates tech-based challenges like hackathons and creathons into its ecosystem, Dr. Pandey shared, What we have done is we have taken some clues from all these hackathon and creathon activities. We are giving real-world problems to our students, and they are providing solutions for society.

He further mentioned how Ashguard is a product of this approach. The Ashguard project is focused on women’s safety, giving a Usain Bolt-like rapid response to threats. Similarly, the industrial robot solution includes safety features so that the robot stops if the worker is nearby. This reduces the risk of injury, showcasing how student projects can bring about meaningful industry impact.

A Platform That Sparks Future Innovation

Discussing the broader impact of such expos, Dr. Pandey remarked, What is happening here is we are getting students from many schools. The schools are coming up with their students to see what our graduates are doing. The projects and innovations done by our students are being shown here, which are definitely going to make a difference. School students and their principals will come to know about these initiatives, and this will motivate them to pursue innovation in the future.
