Grads International School hosts session on Cyber awareness and responsibility for Principals

Greater Noida, 19th Jan 2020 : Today, Grads International School, Greater Noida hosted a Principal’s conference on cyber awareness and responsibility to sensitise the teachers and principals about cyber security.
The conference started with lightning of the lamp by the chief guest Dr Neeraj kumar Pandey, DIOS, Dr Roya Singh , Gajanan Mali , Aditi Basu Roy, Sandeep Mittal and Jay Kumar .
The theme for the conference was laid down by Dr. Aditi Basu Roy, Principal at Grads in her welcome address. Dr. Basu quoted some real life examples to throw light on how students fall prey for cyber crimes without knowing the real life consequences. She then went on to talk about how people in general are not aware of Intellectual property rights and go on to download the things from the internet that are copyrighted. At the end, Dr. Basu appealed to the teachers and guardians to learn cyber safety and to pass the knowledge to the students and next generation.
The Chief Guest for the day, Dr. Pandey, in his address touched upon some key points in cyber security and children-parent relationship.
He appealed principals and teachers to identity the stress in students due to syllabus , examination , class and home work and also due to use of net . Then this stress should be managed . He stated that Internet has become friend and philosopher to the students as parents are not spending quality time with students . He appealed principals to spread awareness about IT Act violations and consequences amongst students . 
The address by Chief Guest was followed by a 90 minute long session on Cyber awareness stress and time management by Vaibhav Pande, Anshul Vashisht and Varun Pande. It could covered the topics of cyber security and safety , digital hygiene , ethics , time management , children issues , behavioural changes in school students , personality development , freedom of choice to students . The session was conducted in an interactive mode . 
The conference was attended by Raina Krishnatray , Archna Kaul ,Seema Vedantam, Rekha Bhushan , Dr Shiwani Dixit amongst others .
