Greater Noida Authority to construct 10,000 houses under PMAY

Greater Noida (31/05/2019) : The 114th Board meeting of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) was conducted today. In the board meeting decision over various proposals related to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, Authority’s Annual Budget, City Sanitation Policy, Decentralized Solid Waste Management Policy, One-time Settlement Scheme and Expansion of Aqua line metro were taken.
For the financial year 2019-20, GNIDA expanded its budget to nearly 4,260 crores, which is 17% more than the budget of last year. During the Press Conference, Anup Chandra Pandey, Chief Secretary Uttar Pradesh, while detailing about the key decisions said, “10,000 homes will be constructed by Greater Noida Authority under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in which allotted builders will be given 2.5 lakh rupees as subsidy.”
“GNIDA will contribute 300 crores for Noida International Airport while 100 crores will be allotted for Noida – Gr Noida metro rail network under which expansion of Aqua Line will be done. 376 crores will be used for maintenance of civic amenities in the city, which is one of the prime concerns of residents. While for External and Internal expenses 471 crores were allotted separately”
This time, considering the rural development, GNIDA allotted 200 crores for the rural areas of Greater Noida and provides a major relief to such allottees whose water supply bills were pending. GNIDA brought one-time settlement scheme under which allottees will be given a discount over one time payment of their pending bills.
Under financial schemes, authority will bring 50 plots, 40 shops, 54 kiosks, 6 petrol pumps and 11 milk booths by online bid and E-auctions. Apart from this, an 80 MLD sewage treatment plant which will be expanded to 246 MLD later, was also proposed. This plant will cater the waste generated in Greater Noida west region.
