Senior Secondary Schools are allowing admissions in Pre Nursery and Nursery sections in their schools which is in violations of our legal rights against natural justice. They also use different terminologies to confuse the parents. Parents prefer Senior Secondary over us to avoid the hassle of re-admissions.Many Play and pre-nursery schools are being operated from residential premises in Greater Noida. This is Unauthorized activity and against the rules of development adopted by Greater Noida Development Authority. We take this opportunity to welcome you to today’s meeting of GREATER NOIDA NURSERY SCHOOLS WELAFRE ASSOCIATION (GNNSWA) comprising of dynamic, enthusiastic and like-minded owners of nursery schools of Greater Noida.This association has been formed with a firm belief that coming together of academic stalwarts is a milestone in itself in engendering a fruitful nursery school association in Greater Noida. GNNSWA is geared to enhance the smooth functioning of Nursery Schools Greater Noida and address problems faced commonly by all Nursery Schools of Greno. No longer will challenging issues be the sole responsibility of any singular school as GNNSWA will be there to protect, and support its members.GNNSWA is progressively working on the following issues on priority.Despite having invested heavily in land, building and other infrastructure for the schools, we are running heavily on losses for the last more than seven years. It has now become very difficult to run our schools since we are struggling to repay our bank loans or develop/ improve the infrastructure further due to lack of any sufficient income from these schools. Having discussed these issues amongst ourselves, we are all of the view that we will never be able to run the Preschools successfully and provide homely atmosphere with quality education to Toddlers of Greater Noida until and unless the authority helps us with the concerns commonly faced by all Preschools. . We have been convening meetings in the recent past, and we all are of the view that below are the reasons attributed to failure of Nursery Schools in Greater Noida: Senior Secondary Schools are allowing admissions in Pre Nursery and Nursery sections in their schools which is in violations of our legal rights against natural justice. They also use different terminologies to confuse the parents, Play group will be called Pre Nursery, Pre Nursery as Nursery, Nursery as LKG and Kindergarten as UKG or Mont 1, Mont 2 and Mont 3 which is against the guidelines of the CBSE.Parents prefer Senior secondary over us to avoid the hassle of re-admissions.
Many Play and pre-nursery schools are being operated from residential premises in Greater Noida. This is Unauthorized activity and against the rules of development adopted by Greater Noida Development Authority.In this regard, we met Mr. Deepak Agarwal, CEO of GNIDA and Mr. Janardhan , ACEO of GNIDA on 12 th May 2016 and requested him to consider the above and take appropriate action in the interest of our survival. We requested for immediate action to:Persuade senior secondary schools from not taking pre – nursery and nursery admissions which is our legal right as we have been allotted plots only for this purpose by the authorities. Take immediate action in closing play and nursery schools operating from residential and unauthorized premises.It was also highlighted in the meeting that the situation was turning worse for all of us with each passing day as number of schools opening in Greater Noida were comparatively more than the influx of the population coming in to live. Many employees employed under us whose living depends on the survival of these schools were being terminated from services because of Low number of Admissions. Being a woman driven industry we have been largely generating employment for hundreds of Women of Greater Noida but due to the above problems we have been unable to do so in recent past. As admissions for the new session for the academic year 2016-17 had already started we requested the Authority for an early action. . As a result of this meeting the Authority assured us of having taken the following actions: Shutting down of illegally running activities like play schools, day care, crèches, etc in residential sectors.No further allotments of institutional land will be made by GNIDA post 31 st May 2016. A letter of appreciation was then sent to the CEO for having taken prompt steps in redressal of our grievances.Soon after this, the members of the association observed that even after continued actions by the authority, the schools and creches which were operating from residential houses continued to thrive and survive. They continued to advertise openly via newspapers, hoardings, leaflets, etc.We also observed that the Senior Secondary schools in Greater Noida continued to take admission in Pre- nursery class against the norms and rules of their operation. As per the CBSE affiliation guidelines as well,there is no ruling by CBSE for Pre Primary classes and does not provide any affiliation for classes below First.We also attached a list of unauthorized dwellings and Senior secondary schools who are admitting children below 4 years of age which has been marked as the age of admission to class Nursery. We solicit your support and guidance in our endeavors and are certain that you will take us to the logical threshold of resolving this grave issue of ours.
