Greater Noida: Two dead in a car-bus collision in Rabupura

Greater Noida, (01/08/2022): On Sunday, a head-on collision between a UP roadways bus and a Renault Triber in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida killed two people and injured another.

When cops arrived, the bus driver and helper had fled the scene, as had the bus passenger, who had likely escaped unharmed.

According to police, the bus was heading towards Rabupura and the car was heading towards Bulandshahr when they collided on Jhajjar-Rabupra Marg near Mohammadpur Jadau village.

Purushottam Alias Dabu lal, 27 years old, and Rinku S Singh, 26 years old, both Bulandshahar residents and employees with a private company, died, and their colleague Mohit Kumar, also from Bulandshahar, was injured during the incident.

Vivek Kumar Shrivastava, the Rabapura police station’s station House officer (SHO), stated that the incident occurred around 5 p.m., after which passers-by contacted cops.

When police arrived, the bus had no passengers and the bus driver and helper had managed to flee. Officers discovered that the bus passengers had boarded other buses or cabs to their destinations, leaving the injured car passengers on the road.

“We took them to a nearby hospital for Medical attention, but the doctors declared Purushottam dead on arrival, and Rinku died during treatment. Both had suffered severe head injuries.” SHO stated.
