Greater Noida, (5/12/2018): Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Institute of Archaeology has been given the permission to resume its construction work. Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) has given the permission to the institute which is being built by the Central Government at the Knowledge Park 2 in Greater Noida.
The UPPCB official said on Tuesday that “we responded to complaints about pollution and inspected the site after which the institute has been given all necessary permission to resume the construction work as it was found to be following all the pollution control norms”.
After the complaints of local environmentalist against the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), the construction of the institute was stopped by the UPPCB on November 16.
The environmentalist filed the complaint in which it was stated that the institute does not have necessary permission from the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF).
The complaints were also raised against the NBCC for not adhering to the norms of pollution control on the site.
